The goal of the State's Tech Prep program is to promote and support high school to college transitions for career and technical education students. Tech Prep initiatives should be enhancing a high school student's technical and academic skills and providing opportunities for transition to postsecondary education or into the workforce.

Ways in Which High School Students Can Earn Technical College Credit through Articulation
Articulation refers to aligning high school and postsecondry curricula to create sequences of courses offering skill attainment with unnecessary duplication. Articulation focuses on providing opportunities for high school students to take college level course work in order to get a head start on earning college credits while continuing to fulfill high school graduation requirments. NCPN, Formally the National Tech Prep Network, will provide resources for Programs of Study, Career Pathways and Clusters as well as strategies for smooth transitions from Secondary to Post Secondary Education.
