Entry Level Driver/Operator-Pumper
Parts 1 and 2

These 15-hour (30 hours total) courses introduce the participant to the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform fire apparatus driving and pumping duties for their respective fire departments.

The targeted audience is individuals who expect to be appointed or have recently been appointed to driver/operator-pumper duties on their respective fire departments.

These courses, when taken in sequential order, are designed to provide the new pumper operator with the information needed to comply with the mimimum pumper operator training requirements as specified in Comm 30.08, Employment standards (2) [3-3.3] (a) of Wisconsin Administrative Code, Department of Commerce, Chapter Comm 30, Fire Department Safety and Health.
