Entry Level Fire Fighter
Parts 1 and 2

Entry Level Fire Fighter Part 1 (30 hour course) and Entry Level Fire Fighter Part 2 (additional 30 hour course) introduce the participant to the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform fire fighting functions under direct supervision.

The targeted audience is individuals new to the fire fighting field.

These courses, when taken in sequential order, are designed to provide the Entry Level Fire Fighter candidate with the information needed to comply with the minimum fire fighter training requirements as specified in Comm 30.08, Employment standards (1) [3-3.2] (a) of Wisconsin Administrative Code, Department of Commerce, Chapter Comm 30, Fire Department Safety and Health. They are based on the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) Essentials of Fire Fighter, 4th Edition curriculum.
