Environmental Haz-Mat Specialist
The Environmental Haz-Mat Specialist Program at Lakeshore
Technical College (LTC) is the only one of its kind in Wisconsin and one
of few in the Midwest. Graduates are responsible for the health and safety
of the environment. Students are trained on state-of-the-art equipment and
technology by instructors with real-world experience in the environmental
and hazardous materials fields. Students are prepared for the management of
environmental concerns and hazardous materials and wastes in both public and
private sectors. Potential employment positions include laboratory technician,
environmental technician, technical representatives, health and safety technician,
waste management specialist, helath and safety coordinator, environmental
assistant, and customer service technician.
