Instructional Techniques for Company Officers

This 12-hour course provides participants the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform training and education duties for their respective fire departments.

The targeted audience is individuals who have been designated by the fire chief to oversee department training.

This course is designed to provide those individuals who have been identified as "qualified instructors" according to Comm 30.07, Training and Education (1) (b) 4.[3-4.2, 3-4.4 and 3-4.5] of Wisconsin Administrative Code, Department of Commerce, Chapter Comm 30, Fire Department Safety and Health with the information needed to effectively use the four step approach to instruction. The course is based on the National Fire Academy (NFA) Instructional Techniques for Company Officers curriculum.
