Promoting Multi-Cultural Success: A Whole College Enterprise Wednesday & Thursday, October 3-4, 2007 Radisson Hotel & Conference Center 2040 Airport Drive Green Bay, Wisconsin 54313

Please join us at this conference to celebrate our technical colleges' service to Wisconsin students of color and explore opportunities and strategies for helping these students succeed in reaching their goals.

This conference is for all areas and functions of our colleges-instruction, student services, human resources, research and evaluation, college advancement. It's for faculty and staff, administrators, managers, and board members. Colleges are encouraged to send teams.

Technical College students may attend this conference as part of a group sponsored by their college.  Technical College Student Services Administrators will be responsible for registering their students as a group.

Objectives:

• Learn how to involve multiple parts of the college in a coordinated effort to improve success for students of color
• Learn about educational strategies and support services that can boost success of students of color
• Exchange ideas about what creates an inclusive and supportive campus environment for students of color
• Discuss approaches to hiring, retaining, and developing a diverse faculty and staff
• Learn about how colleges can use data and reporting tools to keep college efforts on track
• Network with administrators, faculty and staff from other technical colleges on issues involving success for students of color

 

Featured Speaker Reg Weaver is serving his second term as president of the 3.2 million-member National Education Association (NEA), the nation's largest professional employee organization.
